Antes de visitarnos

¿How visit us?
  • ✨ You can visit without staying overnight.
  • 🍽️ The restaurant is open to the public every Sunday; for other days, reservations must be made the day before.
  • 🐎 Activities (horseback riding, trails, etc.) must be booked separately.
  • 🌿 You can also plan your day however you like.

There’s no need to pay a general admission fee. You only pay for the activities or experiences you’ll be participating in or what you’ll be ordering at the restaurant.

For example, if you come to eat at the restaurant, you pay only for what you order, and if you want to go for a walk afterward, you pay for the trails.

However, if you’d like an admission package, we offer a day pass in the packages section.

On Sundays, you can visit the restaurant or hike the trails without a reservation.

For other activities, reservations are required no later than the day before during business hours (horseback riding tours) or earlier, depending on logistics.

Yes, it’s possible. You just need to book the tour in advance, no later than 5 p.m. the day before. For people who do not live in Costa Rica, a deposit is not required for logistical reasons, but we do ask that you let us know if you are unable to come for any reason.

Yes, of course, you can take guided walks or art classes, but you need to make a reservation in advance due to availability and logistics.

The restaurant is open to the public on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On other days, breakfast is served as it is included in the room rate for short stays. Meals at other times must be requested at least two days in advance.

It’s cold most of the time, especially during the months of November, December, January, and February, when temperatures can drop to 15 Cº. It’s warmer in March, April, and May, with daytime temperatures of 22 Cº. From June through October, the weather depends on conditions, as heavy rains and a lack of sunshine can cool the area down to temperatures of 15 Cº. In July, there is a chance of dry, windy conditions during what is known as the “Veranillo de San Juan” (San Juan’s Little Summer) and a heat wave with temperatures ranging from 17°C to 22°C.

Pets of all sizes are allowed only on trails and hikes. Owners must bring leashes and water for their pets and clean up after them.

Pets are not allowed in the restaurant or on horseback rides.

For other activities or experiences, you may request permission in advance.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to guests who arrive at the front desk with pets that do not comply with our policies.

No 😊 We’re a unique place located in Naranjo, Costa Rica (a Central American country).
The one in the Dominican Republic is a completely different business called “Rancho Ecoturístico Amalila”; they don’t have a website, so you’ll have to look them up on social media. We are Rancho Amalia Lodge, without the “L.”

Lodging

What is the layout of the cabins?

We have two types of cabins: family and standard.

The family cabins have a living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom with shower, and two bedrooms—one with a queen-size bed for 2 people and the other with two single beds for 2 people (1 person per bed). In the living room, there is a double-size sofa bed for 1 person or 2 children.

The standard cabins have a living room, kitchen, dining room, one bedroom with a queen-size bed for 2 people, and a bathroom with a shower. The living room has a sofa bed for 1 person.

Includes breakfast, taxes, and access to the trails.

  • Fully equipped kitchen.
  • Fireplace with firewood, matches, and a fire starter.
  • Complimentary coffee from our farm.
  • 2 blankets per bed.
  • Cooking utensils.
  • High-speed internet.
  • TV with Disney+ and Roku.
  • Shower with hot water.

The cabins do not have a Jacuzzi or a bathtub. They only have a hot shower.

No, there isn’t a pool at the moment. Mainly because of the cold climate in the area.

The area has a climate ranging from 15 degrees C to 22 degrees C, so there is no need for heating or air conditioning.

Due to the climate, there are no mosquitoes that transmit dengue or other diseases typical of the tropics; it’s more common to see other types of insects and arthropods because of the proximity to the forest, but they are not dangerous.

For direct bookings, we do not require a deposit from international guests because they have a set itinerary and we do not have an international payment system. Other platforms, such as Booking or Airbnb, offer more flexible payment options but at slightly higher prices.
