We also can arrange activities for up to 50 people and convenient parking with magnificent view from the restaurant. The surrounding grounds have wooden benches which provide a very comfortable setting and an ideal setting for barbeques, wedding receptions, or meetings with friends. The restaurant is located in a very private and secure location.

Rental Cost

The rental cost for the events center/restaurant will depend on the needs of each group. Please contact us for specific quotes with no obligations.

Rancho Amalia specializes in renting horses for guided tours throughout the farm. We have 10 horses which allows us to provide very personalized service for our clients.

We have three different tours, which vary in distance and scenery. The first tour is approximately 2 kilometers (30-40 minutes) and passing through beautiful forests with flora and fauna of ecosystem. The second is 4 kilometers (60-80 minutes) and in addition to the forests, includes passing through pastures, with incredible views of the Valle Central and the Pacific Ocean, as well as the beautiful mountains surrounding Zarcero. Our third tour is the favorite for many because of its diverse scenery and surroundings throughout the 6 kilometers (120-150 minutes).

Operating hours

We are open every weekend from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. From December through May. The rest of year (June through November) we are open on Sundays only. We can also arrange special rides for groups during the week. Please contact us for further information.

Rancho Amalia have fully equipped cabins designed to ensure your complete satisfaction, we take care about every detail, from the wood finishes up the incredible view of different points of Costa Rica. Its location near a private mountainous area allows listening at all hours of the day the birds or the whisper of wind through the trees.

Both cabins are equipped with fireplace, kitchen with all necessary equipment, TV, bathroom with hot water, two rooms with queen-size beds and parking area.

In Rancho Amalia you also have access to the area around the farm, which have mountains, as well as the possibility of renting one of our horses and make a ride with your friends or family.
